SnugPop privacy.

What data is and is not handled when you play, in plain language.

Scope: This notice covers the SnugPop application for iPhone, published by Harold Digital LLC. The company website has its own website privacy notice.

The short version

The game collects no personal information and requires no account. Your progress is stored only on your device. If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements go to Apple. Advertising is provided by Google AdMob, which processes some device data to show and measure ads — where the law requires it, only according to the choices you make in the consent dialog. Buying Remove Ads goes through Apple; we never see your payment details.

Data stored on your device

Your current game and your Daily Mold board, your selected difficulty, best scores for each difficulty and for each day's Daily Mold, your Daily Mold streak, counts of molds you have popped and chains you have made, your sound and haptic settings, whether you have used a rescue, and whether the app has already asked you for a rating are saved locally on your device. None of it is transmitted to Harold Digital. Deleting the app deletes this data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud backup of your progress beyond whatever your own iPhone backup settings include.

SnugPop sends no notifications and schedules no reminders.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center on your iPhone, SnugPop sends your scores to Apple's Game Center leaderboards and reports your achievement progress, so they can appear alongside other players'. Apple handles that information under Apple's privacy policy; Harold Digital does not receive it. The game plays fully without Game Center. You can sign out in your iPhone's Settings, and the app will not prompt you to sign in again.

Advertising

Without Remove Ads, SnugPop uses Google AdMob to show two kinds of ad: an interstitial that may appear when you start a new run, never during one, and a rewarded video you can choose to watch for an in-game rescue when no piece fits. The app may request and preload ads in advance, when your privacy settings permit ad requests. While Remove Ads is active, SnugPop requests and shows no ads at all, and the rescue is free.

Google's advertising software may process your IP address and the approximate location inferred from it, app- or device-related identifiers, crash and performance information, advertising activity, and interactions with the app or ads. Google uses this for advertising, measurement, analytics, and operation of its services. What is processed depends on your choices and the SDK's configuration. See Google's privacy policy, how Google uses information from ads, and AdMob's iOS data disclosures.

SnugPop does not request Apple's app-tracking permission and disables Google's publisher first-party identifier feature. That does not mean Google processes no information.

Your choices about ads

Google's consent tools may present privacy choices depending on your region. Where they apply, you can reopen Privacy choices from the app's Help screen at any time. Declining consent does not prevent ordinary gameplay, although ads, including the ad-supported rescue, may then be unavailable. Google's policy explains its handling, retention, and deletion of information it receives.

Purchases

The optional one-time Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple and checked through StoreKit so that ad removal and the free rescue can be restored on your Apple Account. SnugPop does not receive your payment details.

Children

SnugPop is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Support and your rights

If you contact us, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this to respond and provide support, and retain correspondence as reasonably needed for support, business records, and applicable legal obligations. Privacy rights vary by location; you may contact us about access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent us. For advertising preferences, use the app's privacy choices and Google's linked resources.

Changes

We may update this notice when the app or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies this version; the same notice is bundled inside the app under Help.
