How the game works
You run a fictional baseball club in a sixteen-team league. Set the lineup and pitching staff, make trades, and play the schedule. Every game is simulated pitch by pitch, so you can watch it live in the pixel ballpark, step in to manage, or simulate a day, a week, or the rest of the season in a tap.
Play Key Moments simulates the quiet innings and stops when a game is on the line. When your team bats in one of those spots, you see the pitch from behind the plate: tap to swing. Timing matters, and so does laying off pitches out of the zone. When the other team bats, tap Manage between batters to change pitchers or issue an intentional walk. Watch the full game shows every pitch instead.
The top four clubs in each league reach the postseason. After the final, the offseason brings awards, the draft, player development, retirements, and free agency, and the next season begins.
Common questions
What do I get for free, and what does the Front Office Pass add?
Your whole first season is free: every game, the postseason, trades, and Daily Clutch. The Front Office Pass is a single one-time purchase that unlocks the offseason and every season after it, so you can build a dynasty. There is no subscription and there are no ads.
I bought the Front Office Pass and it is locked again
Open Office and tap Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so this also works on a new iPhone. If it still does not unlock, email us.
How does batting work?
Watch the pitcher's windup and tap as the ball reaches the plate. You will see a grade: Perfect, Good, Early, Late, or Miss. Early swings pull the ball, late swings go the other way. Breaking balls move late and changeups arrive slowly on purpose. Your hitter's ratings still count: better contact widens the timing window and more power means more carry. Prefer to manage only? Tap the bat icon at the top of the game screen to turn batting off.
What is Daily Clutch?
Every day there is one late-game situation, the same for every player, such as a walk-off chance in the bottom of the ninth or a one-run lead to protect. You get one attempt per day. Your record and streak appear on the Club screen, and you can share your result.
Where are the leaderboards?
Skipper uses Game Center for two Daily Clutch leaderboards: your best winning streak and your total wins. Tap the trophy on the Daily Clutch card. If you are not signed in to Game Center, everything else plays exactly the same.
The owner cut my budget
Before each season the owner sets a goal based on your roster. At the end of the season you get a grade from A+ to F, and the payroll budget rises or falls with it. Beat the goal and you will have more to spend in free agency.
Why won't the other club accept my trade?
Computer clubs value players by current ability, age, potential, and contract, and they want to come out slightly ahead. The meter in the Trade Center shows how close an offer is. Clubs also refuse deals that leave them short of pitchers or position players, or over their budget. Trades close at the deadline and reopen in the offseason.
Are these real players and teams?
No. Every club and player is fictional and generated by the game. Generated names are checked against a list of real professional players and managers so that no player shares a real person's name.
My league is gone
Your league is stored on your device only, so deleting the app deletes it, and it does not move to a new phone unless your iPhone backup includes app data. We do not keep a copy. You can start a fresh league at any time from Office.
Can I turn off sound?
Yes. Use the speaker button at the top of the game screen, or the Ballpark sounds switch in Office. Effects also follow your iPhone's silent switch, and your own music keeps playing underneath the game.
