Application policy

GateBlink privacy.

What data is and is not handled when you play, in plain language.

Scope: This notice covers the GateBlink application for iPhone, published by Harold Digital LLC. The company website has its own website privacy notice.

The short version

The game collects no personal information and requires no account. Your progress is stored only on your device. Advertising is provided by Google AdMob, which processes some device data to show and measure ads — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland only according to the choices you make in the consent dialog. Buying Remove Ads goes through Apple; we never see your payment details.

Data stored on your device

Best scores for each board, gates cleared, perfect streaks, challenge stars, coins, unlocked themes, your daily streak, daily goal progress, and your sound and haptics settings are saved locally on your device. None of it is transmitted to Harold Digital or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes this data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud backup of your progress.

GateBlink sends no notifications and schedules no reminders.

Advertising through Google AdMob

GateBlink shows ads through Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may process data such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and how you interact with ads.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a consent dialog is shown before any ad-related processing, and ads are personalized or non-personalized according to your choices. You can review or change your choices at any time in Settings → Manage privacy choices inside the game.

There are three kinds of ad. Two are entirely your choice: watching one to continue a run, and watching one to double the coins a run earned. The third appears occasionally between runs, and on opening the app after a long gap. Purchasing Remove Ads permanently switches off both of those interruptions. The two optional watch-an-ad bonuses remain available afterwards, because they are the only way to extend a run or double its coins, and removing them would sell you less game than a free player has.

App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, GateBlink asks for permission to track before any personalized advertising identifier is used. If you decline, the game plays exactly the same and you will still see ads — they will simply be less relevant. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no name, address, or payment information — only an anonymous confirmation that the purchase is owned, stored on your device so it keeps working offline.

Analytics

We add no analytics of our own. GateBlink contains no analytics service we operate, no crash reporting service, and no social network integration, and none of your scores or progress are ever uploaded.

Google's advertising libraries do carry their own measurement. Alongside the ad data described above, they report product interaction — broadly, that the app was used and that ads were shown and responded to — to Google for analytics and fraud prevention. It is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other companies' apps and websites. This is what the app's privacy manifest declares, and it is the only measurement in the app.

Children

GateBlink is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. It is not published in the App Store Kids Category, and ad requests are not tagged for child-directed treatment.

Your choices and rights

Because the game stores its data only on your device, most controls are in your hands: change ad consent in Settings → Manage privacy choices, turn sound or haptics off in Settings, erase everything with Settings → Reset progress, or delete the app. For data processed by Google, the links above describe Google's controls, including ad personalization settings. If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Changes

If a future update changes these practices — for example, by adding a service that processes new data — this notice will be updated before that version ships, with a new effective date.
